The Irish Maritime Development Office’s e-publication Shipping TradeLink is now available online.
Ireland is amongst the five most open economies in the world. Europe represents our largest trading block with over 60% of our trade carried out with our European neighbours. In the current demanding economic climate there is an even greater need for Irish firms to be able to connect their goods with the global market place in a competitive and efficient manner.
This month's Shipping Tradelink is Greece
Irish shortsea shipping services and our Ports are an essential elements in keeping our economy moving. Our Shipping TradeLink provides a succinct analysis of our trade with 14 European countries, providing analysis of the key trade corridors and direct shipping services being provided.
The series is intended to act as reference point to Irish manufacturers, exporters, and traders seeking a single point with relevant maritime connections to Irish trading partner countries, the commodities shipped and the business support resources available on those specific trade routes.
Later this year we will revise and add the UK shipping tradelink review.
All Shipping Tradelinks can be accessed online, read, downloaded or e-mailed to colleagues for further research and reference.
