The IMDO is the Irish government agency which provides support to national and international maritime businesses in Ireland. It is the aim of the IMDO to be the focal point for maritime business in Ireland. The IMDO provides government and industry with a range of information and reporting across the sector and works with international businesses to help them set-up or expand in Ireland. The IMDO conduct business case studies of companies that are operating within the maritime sector in Ireland. Each of these case studies are published below.

	Flagship ManagementFlagship Management established their Maritime Recruitment Company in the West of Ireland in 2010. Flagship Management had a significant amount of support from government agencies and directly from government departments throughout their set up process. Senior management from the US met with Ireland’s Taoiseach (Prime Minister) during the early stages of set up.
	Ardmore Shipping Services (Ireland) LimitedAnthony Gurnee, CEO of Ardmore Shipping, always had an ambition to establish a shipping company, and the opportunity came in 2010 when he was living in Ireland. As well as a personal connection with Ireland and value for the lifestyle choice, he, and Ardmore, enjoyed a close relationship with the Irish Maritime Development Office from the outset.
	d'AmicoOne of the world’s leading maritime transport groups, d’Amico’s core business is the management and operation of dry cargo vessels and clean product tankers and the provision of international shipping services. d’Amico established offices in Ireland in 2004 and have quadrupled in size since their initial set up, running commercial and financial functions from Ireland.
