55th FIATA World Congress

The 55th FIATA World Congress is set to take place between the 3rd and the 8th of October 2016 in Dublin, Ireland.

The 55th FIATA World Congress is set to take place between the 3rd and the 8th of October 2016. Senior level executives involved in maritime freight, distribution and logistics from around the globe will converge on Dublin for the 55th FIATA World Congress in the spectacular Narional Convention Centre.

This prestigious annual event is being brought to Irish shores by the Irish International Freight Association (IIFA), who successfully bid for the Congress during 2013 FIATA World Congress in Singapore. The last time this World Congress was held in Europe was Geneva 2009, and the Irish Freight Forwarding community are delighted to bring this important event back to Europe. Working under the theme of ”Where Networking Comes Naturally” the 2016 Congress will highlight  solutions to international collaboration, explore new trends in global logistics, best practice, trading opportunities and technological innovation in an ever changing global logistics market.

The FIATA World Congress is an international platform where all players in global logistics gather to raise their voices and speak for their sector. With a strong emphasis on global networking the 2016 Congress will take the form of a collaboration based forum that will appeal to senior executives and the next generation of cargo professionals. Typical attendees include important executives from the following sectors:

  • Logistics Firms,
  • Freight Forwarders,
  • Land, Air, Sea, Rail, Combined Transport Companies
  • Cargo and Courier Transporters
  • Logistic Centres and Warehousing
  • Customs Clearance Companies

The Congress program also promises to have an inspiring mix of engaging and interactive workshops. In addition, networking will be a major focus for this event with both formal and ad-hoc opportunities available across the Congress. For international visitors, a social program is being prepared which will allow our guests to have a full taste of Dublin city and Irish culture.
