Senior HSEQ Officer Vacancy with P&O Maritime
Based in Galway, P&O Maritime is currently seeking to recruit an HSEQ OFFICER. The position is responsible for Health, Safety, Environment and Quality performance of P&O Maritime’s Ireland and UK Business Units.
P&O Maritime is a global company providing specialist maritime service solutions through ownership, operation and management of a fleet of specialised vessels for our customers long term requirements.
Based in Galway, P&O Maritime is currently seeking to recruit an HSEQ OFFICER. The position is responsible for Health, Safety, Environment and Quality performance of P&O Maritime’s Ireland and UK Business Units, through active interaction with the workforce and thereby creating a strong HSEQ culture throughout the workplace. The position is also responsible for managing the HSEQ Management System and for ensuring compliance with the requirements of the system.
Suitable candidate will ideally have the following:
Ø STCW Chief Officer certification or tertiary HSE qualification to Diploma/Degree level (NEBOSH international Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent)
Ø Minimum 5 years experience in a similar position and ideally the marine industry
Ø Certified as a Lead/Internal Auditor in ISM, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
Ø Experience in leading critical incident investigations
Ø Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software applications
Ø Well-developed leadership and management skills
Ø High level analytical and problem solving skills
Ø High level communication and interpersonal skills including report writing
Ø Effective time management and organisational skills
Ø Able to work under pressure and respond to changing work demands
Ø Strong customer service orientation
