SMARTDEC Project Kick-Off Meeting
We had a great day in Brussels yesterday at the SMARTDEC Project Kick-Off Meeting. This project will focus on Smart Clusters for Maritime Decarbonisation.

The main focus for this project will be: 

  • Develop a network of Atlantic hubs to support technology adoption and transnational cooperation to improve the innovative performance of the maritime transport sector and boost maritime decarbonisation
  • Support the maritime transport sector to reduce the CO2 emissions and find  efficient and clean technologies to develop the industry in the coming years
  • Share best practices, exchange ideas and tackle problems jointly with project partners

 The project aims to create a catalogue of services, solutions and technologies available in the Atlantic coast regions, notably from start-ups and SMEs, in favour of the decarbonisation of maritime transport and port activities in order to boost the adoption of new technologies. The aim is to build on regional clusters and nodes to create networks that will facilitate technology and knowledge transfer activities between regions.
