In preparation for Brexit, The Department of Transport Tourism and Sport (DTTAS), supported by the Irish Maritime Development Office (IMDO), held a workshop in Dublin in September. The aim of the workshop was to allow shipping and port companies, importers and exporters to discuss maritime connectivity, trade patterns and capacity demands in a no-deal Brexit scenario.

The IMDO and Marine Institute Office in Dublin has moved to Hatch Street, Dublin 2.
