Rosslare Europort has entered into a “strategic partnership” with Bord na Móna as it continues efforts to develop the port as a key hub for the development of offshore wind projects in Irish waters. The partnership, which has seen Bord na Móna and offshore wind energy company Ocean Winds sign a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the port authority, “underscores the commitment of all parties to accelerate Ireland's offshore wind energy ambitions” and seeks to “leverage the potential of Rosslare Europort as it accelerates its wind energy ambitions”.

Irish ports continue to exhibit a keen interest in participating in Ireland’s emerging ORE industry. A number of ports have developed plans that respond to the need for port infrastructure to service the needs of ORE developers. Applications for funding from the Connecting Europe Facility have been made by some ports and planning applications to An Bord Pleanála are in preparation.

Irish Lights is seeking a Master for the vessel, Granuaile. As part of the Navigation, Maritime and Consenting senior management team, the Master reports to the Director, liaising with the Navigation Services Manager ashore on operational matters.
