As part of the Irish Maritime Development Office's efforts in highlighting the employment opportunities within the national maritime industry, we offer an annual graduate recruitment programme aimed at students interested in pursuing a career in the maritime industry.
Economic Research Stagiaires
The position of Economic Research Stagiaire is a unique opportunity for recent graduates to gain hands on experience in the field of applied economic research. This is a Dublin based, funded position, for a period of one year commencing around September annually. The successful candidate will be afforded the prospect to gain experience working in a strategic, research and policy development area. This position is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or post-graduate in Economics or Transport Economics. Previous researchers have gone on to work in a multitude of organisations, including financial institutions, government bodies, research institutes and global transport organisations.
Marketing & Communications Stagiaire
The Marketing & Communications Stagiaire position is an opportunity for a recent graduate to gain hands on experience in the field of marketing and communications. This is a Dublin based, funded position, for a period of one year commencing around September annually. It is an excellent first step in building a career and the Marketing & Communications Stagiaire will gain experience working in a dynamic industry on both a national and international marketing arena.

Summer Bursar Programme
The Summer Bursar Programme provides valuable practical experience for students interested Maritime development and research. The programme is aimed at undergraduates of Universities, Institutes of Technology and National Institutes for Higher Education. The Scheme is strictly limited to undergraduates who have completed two years of study in a relevant discipline. The bursaries are for an eight week placement over the summer months based in the IMDO's Dublin office.
