Irish Port Safety Week runs from 21st - 25th October 2024. The aim of this week is for the port authorities to work collaboratively to highlight and enhance collective safety responsibility and awareness for all port users, with events planned under differing themes throughout the week.

Some of the activities taking place will involve Training Simulators, First Aid training, Rescue from Height, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) awareness campaigns, Water Safety Training and much more.

Irish Port Safety Week (an initiative of the Irish Port Safety Forum), has traditionally been run in line with European Safety Week which is supported by the HSA and is this year focusing on Safety in the Digital Age.

The IPSF is delighted to have the support of the H.S.A. (Health and Safety Authority) for Irish Port Safety Week.

This year the HSA will once again lend their support and will be on site in some of the ports to help reinforce the message around safety in the workplace.
